Outfit: Florals for Summer

Well, It's been awhile! Last time I posted it was before christmas and the new year! I took a little time to myself to spend time with family and have a nice relaxing break but now I'm back and anxious to get back into the swing of things! I put this little outfit together for a nice, if wet, day exploring wineries around the Clare Valley looking for possible wedding venues - nothing yet but we are still looking!

This outfit is all thrifted, with the exception of my trusty boots from target! The tunic top is a shirt in size 3XL that I wear belted, it's incredibly light and comfortable and I just couldn't go past that gorgeous print!

Life has been pretty lazy lately but I do have a couple of little things I'm working on so you should be seeing a bit more activity around here fairly soon - watch this space!

Outfit // It's Not Easy Being Green

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure if I should post these photos or not. Don't get me wrong, I loved the outfit, but I just don't love the photos... I'm not even sure why I don't like them - it might be the over abundance of green or it might be that I'm not used to posting outfits that are so casual, I'm really not sure but here they are! This outfit was very comfortable, it almost felt like a day out in my pyjamas but with much more style (and, trust me, that is never a bad thing).

I bought the playsuit second hand off of eBay and when it arrived it was Kermit frog green, not my favourite colour! Rather than getting rid of it I chucked it into a dye bath and turned it into a deep teal, now I love it.

Outfit: End of the Line

Hello, it's been awhile, hey? These last two weeks have just flown by! I always have grand plans for lots of blogging over the holidays and it just never happens but, rest assured, I have gathered lots of content that I'll be putting up over the coming weeks! Holidays seem to end up as a mad flurry of activity, some fun and some boring, but having Mark home from work does not put me in a working mood! These holidays have consisted of house work and yard work (the boring), a couple of trips into Port Pirie and a whirlwind trip to the Barossa Valley to have a look at cars (and a cheeky meal out). This little outfit was worn on one of the trips to Pirie and we stopped off in Gladstone to snap a few shots. It's a simple outfit but was comfortable for pottering around town and the lovely weather we managed allowed me to get away with just a light cardigan. I was gifted the beautiful Pandora snowflake charm earlier this year for my birthday and have finally, after much umming and ahhing, got myself a bracelet to put it on. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get a bracelet or just hang it from a chain as a pendant as I don't really like the traditional Pandora bead charms. Eventually I settled on a small bangle style bracelet, I can then hang a few more of the pendant style charms if I decide I want to but it's not big enough to clog up with the bead charms! (Who knew I had so much to say about a bracelet!)

Outfit: Black and white and red all over

I've found it really hard to get back into the swing of blogging since the holidays, despite all my best intentions to keep blogging through the holidays life apparently had other plans! Now Mark is back at work but I was struck down my a nasty cold and my productivity slowed to a snails pace... but tomorrow I'll be back at work and the world moves on so I'm making every effort to shake off the dust and get back into a routine. So without further ado here are the outfit photos I promised last week.

These photos were taken at the lovely Sevenhill Cellars on the steps of the church. Sevenhill Cellars is one of my favourite places as it offers so much - even if you aren't a wine drinker. You can stroll through the grounds or have a picnic on the rolling lawns and, best of all, they host Shakespeare in the Vines each February. This outfit is a bit of a departure from my norm as it has very little colour in it, just black, white and navy blue, but I thought it looked good with the pop of red that my hair adds in. I'm certainly not planning any permanent departures from my beloved colourful outfits but it was fun to experiment with something a little different.

Outfit: Picnic at Hanging Rock

Ok, so I'm not at hanging rock and it was definitely far to cold to picnic but I'm sticking with that title! If you have been reading the last few posts you will know I spent some time last weekend with my family and one stop was the delightful Martindale Hall (If you missed it those posts are here and here). Martindale Hall was used as a location in one of my favourite films Picnic at Hanging Rock, hence the title of the blog post. I thought I would do a little post on the outfit I chose to wear. I started with the tulle skirt as I have been dying to wear it ever since it arrived in the post and I thought this was a wonderful excuse to dress it down with a chunky knit and ankle boots. Overall I was happy with the outfit and think I will get more wear out of this skirt than I first anticipated. I do think I'll give the skirt a little trim before I wear it again though, I'm not a huge fan of the midi on me as I am so petite I think it makes my legs look far too short! What do you think?
